This is my first time trying to make a "tangible" shadow, i wanted something that would make you feel NOT to touch it, not because it's disgusting or wierd. I want that feel of pain when you imagine dipping your hand in there.
The Colors were a real problem too, i wanted to stick with sobata's colors since, you know, it's the character. But i've Made the painting blend with nice dark reddish Overlays.
This is also the first time i've tried using complementary colors...in which i think i have miserably failed
...with the light as reddish, and shades were mixed with green. My eyes are really trying to bitch out on how inharmonious(i think that's a word) the painting gets every time i finish a shade in a Color flats.
In the end, It looked good.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI must say that the rather Freudian imagery is nice and subtle. To me it seems the monster is a personification of the character's own sexual frustrations and desire towards the love for an imaginary character and a real person. What you see here is the monster trying to take over (sexually of course) and force the character to give in to his inner desire's. Note how the monster both loves and hates the character for what he is. It loves the character for being a part of his mind and hates him because he is unable to fully accept and convey his feelings.
